Casa de Mono Jungle Villa
Important Booking Information
This listing helps groups of up to 12 guests book the full villa or individual units in one place. Unless you’re booking for 12 guests, you will not have access to the entire villa. We’ll advise which units are included based on your inquiry and group size. Please book for the correct number of guests—pricing adjusts accordingly. Specific unit availability is not guaranteed, even if the calendar shows open dates. For smaller groups, individual unit listings are available on our profile for instant booking.
Before you book, please read the “Good to Know” section to ensure our villa is the right fit.
Staying at Casa de Mono means you don’t need to venture far to explore some of the archipelago’s most beautiful beaches and best-loved restaurants—all while being immersed in the lush natural splendour of Bocas del Toro. From world-class surf breaks a short stroll away to wildlife sightings from your porch, you’ll experience the rhythm of the island like a local.

What’s Included in Your Stay
We’ve added thoughtful touches to make your stay feel comfortable and connected:
1. Concierge-style support at no extra cost. We’ll help plan tours, surf lessons, chocolate farm visits, boat trips, and reservations with trusted local guides. You’ll receive a digital guidebook on booking and a printed one in your room.
2. Thoughtful amenities: beach towels, snorkel gear, surfboards, reusable water bottles, umbrellas, a reasonably priced mini-bar, hotel-quality linens, AC and ceiling fans, a coffee station with locally roasted coffee, cooking basics, and refillable eco toiletries—so you can explore and unwind in style.
3. Light housekeeping every 2–3 days keeps your space fresh. Linens/towels change every 5 days for long stays to minimize impact. (Use the door sign if you’d prefer no service.)
4. The Space: Casa de Mono has four unique units in one villa, offering comfort and flexibility. Two ensuite king suites each have a private balcony and share an outdoor kitchen. A spacious 3-bedroom apartment has two enclosed A/C rooms and a semi-open double room nestled in the trees. The ground-floor queen apartment is compact, with a kitchen, lounge, bathroom, and outdoor dining area. Most of the villa’s magic happens outdoors—dine al fresco, nap in a hammock, or enjoy the tropical gardens.
5. Great for groups with staggered arrivals or travel plans, each unit offers a balance of shared experience and private retreat.
6. For an extra charge: Daily breakfast tokens for four local cafés, each offering 2–5 curated menu options. Try a new spot daily, support local businesses, and enjoy varied island flavours. (Most dietary needs can be accommodated; extra items are also available.)

Good to Know – Please Read Before Booking
We want every guest to love their stay. To help you decide if Casa de Mono is the right fit, here’s what to expect:
1. Noise & Sound Travel: Casa de Mono is a traditional Caribbean-style hardwood villa with rooms stacked above each other and open-air common spaces. This layout adds charm, but sound travels easily. You may hear voices, footsteps, howler monkeys, roosters, or music from nearby homes or businesses. White noise machines are provided in each room for restful sleep.
2. Unit Allocation & Guest Comfort: Depending on your group size, we’ll allocate the most suitable units. Review your unit’s specific layout before booking. All units welcome children, but space for extra beds or cribs is limited. Additional single/double beds or cribs are available for $20–$30/night. Please request these in advance.
3. Jungle Living: Surrounded by gardens and wildlife, bugs and occasional critters are part of the experience. You’ll likely see butterflies, geckos, or hear tropical birds. If insects aren’t your thing, this may not be your ideal stay. We’ve screened windows and added AC and fans for comfort—but nature thrives here, and that’s part of the magic.
